LLAMA Trike Limited Warranty
At LLAMA Trike, we design and build our electric trikes to handle real-world work, daily riding, and long-term use. This Limited Warranty outlines the coverage provided with your purchase and explains how we support our customers when issues arise.
1. Scope of This Limited Warranty
- Applicability: This warranty applies only to LLAMA Trike electric trikes purchased directly from llamatrike.com or from an authorized LLAMA Trike dealer in the United States.
- Original Purchaser: This is a limited, non-transferable warranty provided to the original retail purchaser only.
2. Warranty Coverage Period
LLAMA Trike offers up to four (4) years of limited warranty coverage. Coverage periods vary by component category as outlined below.
2.1 Structural & Load-Bearing Components

Wear & Consumable Items (Not Covered)
The following items are subject to normal wear and are not covered:
- Tires and tubes; brake pads and rotors
- Chains, belts, sprockets, bearings
- Cables and housing; grips, saddle, pedals
- Paint, decals, and cosmetic finishes
3. What This Warranty Covers
- Defects in materials or workmanship
- Structural frame failure under normal use
- Electrical component malfunction not caused by misuse
- Manufacturing defects discovered during the warranty period
Resolution: If a covered defect is confirmed, LLAMA Trike will, at its sole discretion, repair the component, replace it with a new or refurbished equivalent, or provide an alternative appropriate solution.
4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Improper Use: Accidents, collisions, riding beyond rated load capacity, or commercial rental (unless approved).
- Improper Maintenance: Incorrect assembly, lack of routine maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.
- Environmental Factors: Water damage from flooding or submersion, corrosion due to improper storage, or extreme heat or fire.
- Normal Aging: Battery capacity reduction over time or cosmetic wear.
5. Battery Warranty – Important Details
Batteries are consumable components.
- Covered: Manufacturing defects and premature electrical failure
- Not Covered: Natural capacity loss, reduced range, or damage from improper charging or storage
6. Warranty Claim Procedure

Please include the following:
- Proof of purchase (order number or invoice)
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos or videos showing the problem
- Trike serial number (located on the frame)
Important: Do not ship any product or part without prior authorization. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
7. Replacement Parts, Labor & Shipping
- Parts: Approved replacement parts are provided at no cost during the warranty period
- Shipping: Shipping for replacement parts may be covered at LLAMA Trike’s discretion
- Labor: Labor, installation, diagnostics, and local service fees are not covered unless explicitly stated in writing
8. Legal Notice
- Transferability: This warranty is non-transferable and void if ownership changes
- Limitation of Liability: LLAMA Trike is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Governing Law: This warranty is governed by the laws of the United States
LLAMA Trike reserves the right to update this policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of purchase will apply.
